Review for the ending of "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas".

I personally feel that the ending for "The Boy In The Striped Pajamas" is a good one. The ending clearly shows and describes about a mother's depression after losing her son Bruno and how sad his sister became after losing him and had no more interest in doing what she always does,playing with dolls. The family suffered from the loss of Bruno after they gave up looking for him. It is also very touching that Bruno,a boy who lived in luxury and wealth,had befriended Shmuel,a prisoner from World War II and how he put all his faith on Shmuel as he walked into a whole new world of the prisoner's camp and how he honoured his words to look for Shmuel's father even though he was terrified and oblivious to what was happening around him. It is a good ending as it is very different from most stories,which end with a happy and satisfying ending,this particular story was a 180 degree twist from what i expected it to be,which suprised me and made me feel that this ending is special and better.
